A well-respected Heirloom broad bean, ‘Aquadulce Longpod’ is the result of hundreds of years of breeding and improvement. The plants are quite early, and grow to about 1m to 1.5 meters tall, bearing long pods with large flat pale seed inside. Highly prolific and easy to grow. Delicious in terms of flavour and texture.
Broad Beans Aquadulce plants produce long, slender pods that can be up to 25 cm long. The beans themselves are large and have a slightly flattened shape. They are typically light green when young and turn beige or light brown as they mature.
Broad Beans Aquadulce is a hardy plant that can tolerate frost and cold temperatures. It prefers a well-drained soil that is rich in organic matter and a location that receives full sun.
These beans are known for their rich, nutty flavor and creamy texture, and are a popular ingredient in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine.
