Young leaves, green veined with red, add interesting colour to salads. Flavour is slightly acid, like Garden sorrel. Tap-rooted plant with lance-shaped foliage. Attractive addition to the herb garden, too. Culinary and pot herb, also used for microgreens due to its distinctive red veins.
